Many of you will have come across Chris Nicksons wonderful cooperation with others to produce Life In The Fast Lane. This is a highly valuable site which has regular updates on what is new in the world of Emergency Medicine and Critical Care. They produce general reviews and Research reviews.
The team involved are all obviously regular users of the internet and they will point out and briefly summarise what they find. Pearls for others to see!
Go look for yourself if you have not already come across it.
The submissions are by those in the medical profession and much of it is relevant to those non medics too.
The question I ask myself is could a group of non-medics e.g. nurses, paramedics, physios, pharmacists, ODP’s do something similar from this website? Our emphasis would be different form LITFL in that we would have a slightly different professional focus whilst still concentrating on Emergency Medicine and Critical Care
I think the answer is a most definite YES!
I don’t believe it will require a massive commitment from those involved especially if we had a large enough team. Perhaps only submitting something of relevance once or twice a month. You wouldn’t even need to produce a long review. A quick summary and a link would suffice.
If there are those amongst us who would like to submit the occasional longer article then that would also be of great value.
I am going to push for this idea….please consider it…I think we could be fab.
